TSSAA softens rules for 'pads'

MURFREESBORO - With the focus on acclimating players to the summer heat, the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) approved a rules change during the June Board of Control meeting that will permit teams to begin practice with shoulder pads a week earlier than former guidelines would have allowed.   • Ridgewood renews tradition with new grass, larger greens
    Ridgewood Golf Course is taking the Bermuda plunge.
    The course is now temporarily closed for the installation of Champion Dwarf Bermuda grass to take the place of the current bent grass that has historically used for most golf greens. History, however, is being changed as many courses are switching to Bermuda greens, and Ridgewood is one of them.
