Bruce Wilson Collins, 76, of Athens, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was a native of Mesa, Mich., and a resident of McMinn County for more than 30 years. A son of the late Merton and Jeanette Wilson Collins, he retired from United Airlines after 30 years as a pilot and was a member of the Republican Party \"We The People.\"
Survivors include his wife, Marion C. Willard Collins of Athens; one son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Tracy Collins of Sewanee, Ga.; two grandchildren, Ethan and Logan Collins; and a friend, Annette Burger.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at East Athens Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Gregg officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor\'s favorite hospice group.
