Ollie Ruth Hughes, 88, of Athens, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Etowah Health Care Center.
She was the widow of Cecil Hughes.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Curtis Willeby of Athens; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Robin Head of Sweetwater; three grandsons, John David, Curtis Wayne and Tim; two granddaughters, Shannon and Elizabeth Ann; several great-grandchildren; and several foster children whom she raised.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Biereley-Hale Funeral Home of Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
