Faye Melton Selvage, 66, of Crossville, died Sunday night, April 29, 2012, at her son\'s home.
A native of Manchester, she was a daughter of the late Homer Melton Jr. and Beatrice Stephenson Darnell and was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Jo Selvage; one sister, Nancy Coe; and one brother, Jesse Melton. She was a member of Mayland Church of Christ in Crossville and had been self-employed as a caregiver to clients in McMinn and Roane counties.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Selvage of Crossville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tim and Judy Selvage and Tyler Selvage, all of Niota; grandchildren, Amber, Caleb, Hunter and Jonah Selvage, all of Niota, and Don Farris of Clarksville; one great-grandson, Gavin Selvage of Niota; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Casey Lawler of Cumming, Ga., Linda and Jimmy Nippers and Joy and Mike Broadrick, all of Manchester, and Patsy Motes and Terry Foster of Acworth, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky Darnell of Tallahassee, Fla., and Billy and Kim Darnell of Manchester; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Phyliss Seagraves and Adora Roysden.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 30 Cat Creek Road in Manchester, with the Rev. Ben Coffey and Tim Selvage officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Women at the Well Ministries, 881 County Rd. 655, Athens, TN 37303.
